Breaking News English

Designed for ESL students, Breaking News English provides news articles about current events in seven reading levels with activities that can be printed. There are additional activities for each story, including a recording of the story, word jumbles, vocabulary and grammar practice, and spelling.

There are two types of news articles: those written in reading levels 0, 1, 2, and 3, or those written in reading levels 4, 5, and 6. Learners can practice reading the article in various reading levels from beginner to high intermediate.

Free rice is a vocabulary building website where you can collect rice in a bowl with every correct answer. It is funded by the World Food Programme which donates rice to those in need.
